4.15pm - Coach Pick up (Holland House Hotel)
4.30pm - 6.00pm - Guided Coach Tour of Cardiff Discover the colourful history of Europe's youngest Capital city. Take in the sights of Cardiff and its city centre - See its magnificent Castle, Civic Buildings, Millennium Stadium and the redevelopment of the busiest coal exporting port in the world into the vibrant Cardiff Bay. Then follow the River Taff past the fairytale Castell Coch to the birthplace of singing legend Tom Jones and the home of the University of Glamorgan's Treforest and Glyntaf campuses before returning to Cardiff and the University's ATRiuM campus.
6.00pm - Drinks Reception (ATRiuM Campus, Cardiff City Centre) This will include a short welcome and introduction to the University of Glamorgan from Professor Peter Robertson, Dean of Faculty, and delegates will have the opportunity to take a tour around the ATRiuM campus, our recently opened £35million home to the Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries, and staff from across the University will also be on hand for informal discussions and to answer any questions.
Tours will include the Fashion and Design studios, TV and Radio studios, Photography facilities, Broadcast and print multimedia Journalism suites, Theatre Practice space, Music and Sound studios, the Cinema and 180-seat Theatre.
7.00pm - Close Take the short walk back to the hotel or into Cardiff City Centre to sample some of the best hospitality any where in the UK - there are 149 pubs, bars and nightclubs and 73 restaurants - so something for everyone! |
