It is interesting to consider the extent to which the contents and findings relate to careers service developments in each of the four home countries. Therefore, we encourage all our members to review the contents and consider the implications for current and future careers policy, research and practice.
Evidence to the Review of Careers Services in Wales
The ICG's Immediate Past President Vivienne Brown has submitted both written and verbal evidence, including the results of the ICG Welsh members survey, to the Core Group comprising Dr. Haydn Edwards (chair), Professor Danny Saunders and Dr Deirdre Hughes.
The Chair, Haydn Edwards, warmly welcomed the report and particularly appreciated the fact that ICG had taken the trouble to survey its members in Wales. He was pleased to have such a good, well presented report; the panel took note of all the findings and these will be used to inform future deliberations. He also appreciated the fact that the materials had been made available in Welsh as well as English.
The Core Group is reporting to the Minister on Wednesday 19th May 2010, with all the evidence it has received.
