The desired outcome is that workers who consider themselves to have a 'job' rather than a career will become aware of the developmental and learning opportunities available to them and the relevance of learning to their lives and thereby invest in their working futures. |

The key aims for the project were to provide a careers service to individuals facing redundancy, targeted at small or large scale job losses. The service was primarily designed for those with lower or outdated skills as they have the greatest barrier to re-entering the labour market. It was also hoped that RAS would spread good practice, when working with those facing redundancy, across Careers Scotland.
Full details of these projects can be found in the National Career Awards Winners booklet, distributed free of charge to ICG members. |
