They have created innovative and entertaining approaches to challenging gender imbalance in the workplace, using work experience as a focus.
The project aimed at 13-14 year olds is designed to encourage young people to be aware of the different career choices available to them. The decision to base the project around gender is linked to the results of several surveys which highlighted that although young people would consider non-traditional work very few actually break the mould and begin a career that is not typical for their gender.
Full details of this project can be found in the National Career Awards Winners booklet, distributed free of charge to ICG members. |
