C-xtra is a psychometric tool for post-16 students, it is a website retention toolkit created in response to Lancashire colleges and schools request for a reliable and valid questionnaire.	Rachel Mulvey presents the award to CXL
The idea behind the research follows two recent Government papers; 'Raising Expectations: staying in education and training post 16' Green paper and '14-19 Education and Skills' White paper. Both papers have retention of young people in education at the core of the recommendations. The website uses information, advice and guidance resources to support the drive for retention of young people in education. The tool identifies students that have additional needs or might be at risk of dropping out in their first term of a post-16 course.
