National Careers Week 2012
will offer careers professionals working in schools the chance to focus their efforts in providing urgent guidance for young people and raise awareness of the importance of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG).

National Careers Week is a celebration of careers education, information, advice and guidance. From 5th - 9th March 2012, careers coordinators and careers advisers will be running special career workshops and activities in cooperation with local businesses, parents and teachers.

Through social networks and nationalcareersweek.com there is a focus to share quality free careers resources and support students making important decisions about their futures during times of uncertainty.

More careers activities and resources will be coordinated and shared during this week than ever before. Already over 600 careers professionals have signed up to @careersweek on Twitter and a further 1,500 advisers have registered their support NCW on nationalcareersweek.com.

On the website is the official NCW poster free to download, links to over 30 free online quality careers resources and a registration form. Registering with nationalcareersweek.com keeps stakeholders updated on developments including daily updates during the week courtesy of Careersbox.

One of the major events taking place during Careers Week is the National Career Guidance Show at the Bobby Moore Suite, Wembley Stadium, 7-8 March. National Career Guidance Shows offer a unique opportunity for careers professionals to meet and engage with employers and training providers and a wide range of professional seminars - free of charge. Select which show you want to attend and book your place here.

Keep an eye on the NCW website for more information on events, special offers and a competition with a prize of 100 hours of in-school enterprise workshops from Enterprise Lab.
