This event has been planned to reflect a number of topics identified by careers advisers and personal advisers as being particularly important. These range from the complexities of the funding regime supporting the 16+ transition through to the challenges of working with clients with particular characteristics.
Participants will have an opportunity to hear from some keynote speakers on relevant and important topics, to participate in a range of workshops designed to improve professional knowledge and practice, and to network and discuss common issues with co-practitioners.
Speakers will include Beverley Burgess, Head of Specialist Policy at the Young People's Learning Agency, and Lucia Winters, Programme Coordinator at the National Transition Support Team.
There will be workshops on a range of topics including mental health issues, autism, communication disorders as well as examples of good practice in the field.
