ICG South West Regional Representative and Connexions Development Manager Phil Spooner recently met with Ian Liddell-Grainger MP for Sedgemoor .

Employees could receive government funding to take university courses in vocational subjects as a way to tackle skills shortages hampering the economy, a minister has signalled.

The Professional Development Committee of the ICG is a Standing Committee of the Council .It has a specific role which is currently defined as ' to ensure effective and seamless linkages between initial training and Continuous Professional Development.'

Following the Foster Review of FE Colleges last November, the ICG wrote to Sir Andrew Foster supporting the key points of his report and this week received the below response.

The telephone guidance trial started taking its first calls from the public on 3 January - already 6000 individuals have accessed the service.
