Chair of the ICG Board Allister McGowan has been given the position of Chair of the National Institute for Careers Education and Counselling (NICEC). 

On December 12th 2006 ICG President Kieran Gordon met with Baroness Morris of Bolton in the House of Lords to provide information on career guidance provision in relation to the Further Education and Training Bill which is currently passing through Parliament.
