Chief Executive Chris Humphries opened the organisation.

Several ICG members have noticed an article in a recent edition of Children and Young People Now headed "Youth Access to create advice and guidance qualification" which the ICG brought to the attention of colleagues at DCSF.

The 1 April 2008 saw the launch Skills Development Scotland.

The ICG responded to the recent consultation on proposed standards for a national CPD programme for staff responsible in schools for delivering the Economic Wellbeing and Financial Capability aspects of the PSHE curriculum.

Chris Evans, ICG Executive Director attended this conference which brought together representatives of professional bodies to discuss the findings of recent research relating to the recruitment to the professions of people from minority communities.
