Using psychometrics in career guidance |
I regularly, but not always use assessments in my practice; it depends on the need of the person. The programme I run which won the award for working with adults - The Gold Career Programme uses the Highlands Ability Battery. This is similar to the Morrisby but clients can take the assessment on their home computer which helps the admin.
I also use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator to help understand personality and the Strong Interest Inventory to look at interests. We then have triangulation as we look at the results from all 3 assessments. |
