NVQ Advice & Guidance |
| I am a Connexions PA who is undertaking the NVQ, & who has previously completed the QCG. I just wanted to know how other members who have completed/or are undertaking the NVQ have found it. |

Re: NVQ Advice & Guidance |
I've done the NVQ level 3 and 4. I found them useful for reflection - to get you to focus on what you do and how you do it. Fortunately I'm in a job where we get the opportunity to do that fairly regularly anyway so I didn't really feel that I took that much from them.
I have done various other short courses that focus more on theory and practice and I found these more useful.
I'm due to start a postgrad qualification this month so it will be interesting to see how this differs.
How did you find your QCG? How are you finding the NVQ? |

Re: Re: NVQ Advice & Guidance |
Hi Julie
The QCG was great preperation for my role as a Schools PA, as I got to go on work placement throughout the course. It was very challenging at times but enjoyable. At the moment im trying to complete the NVQ by March, so under alot of pressure! The differencce between the two is that the QCG teaches you while the NVQ is more about you proving that you are competent at your job.
Any advice on completing the NVQ would be more than welcomed. |
