Graduate Employability - Myths, Realities and the Role of Guidance

 Jun 2008

This workshop will focus on guidance practice with HE clients and graduates. To set the scene, notions of graduate employability and its interpretation in HE policy and strategy will be explored, in particular the impact on HE Careers Services. Workshop participants will examine the relationship between employability and guidance and the implications for their work with pre-HE clients.

Dr Judith Done is the Director of Careers and Employability at the University of Chester. She was awarded a University Teaching Fellowship for her work on embedding PDP into the curriculum, and chairs the University E-portfolio Steering Group.

She was formerly programme leader for the PG Diploma in Careers Guidance at Manchester Metropolitan University.
