Setting up in private practice

Workshop title: Working for yourself - should you set up in private practice?

Setting up in private practice sounds attractive, but will it be the right option for you? There are many things to consider before handing in your notice.

If you would like to explore if you should make this dream a reality then join Denise. The workshop objective is to help you consider if this is the right move for you and to create a plan to make the transition smooth, Denise will be sharing the "if only I'd known" to help you plan the transition to your own private practice.

In this interactive and practically focused workshop we will consider the pros and cons of going into private practice, how your personality characteristics can help and hinder; clarifying your unique strengths; identifying the clients you want to attract and how to find them; sources of outside help from business planning to mentoring; marketing and advertising; being resilient and generating income in the short and medium term.

This workshop is led by Denise Taylor, Occupational Psychologist, Registered Guidance Practitioner and founder of Amazing People, a career coaching, counselling and guidance company. She won a National Career Award (working with adults) in 2007. Her portfolio career has included being guest faculty to an international group of internet marketers, sharing psychological input to business success.
