Changing Times received the 2007 National Career Award for 'Working with Young People in Pre-14 Learning.'
Changing Times challenges gender imbalance in a unique and imaginative way using 'forum theatre' techniques. The Changing Times DVD, lesson plans and associated website www.equalfuturz.net are aimed at 13 and 14 year olds. The whole package is designed to encourage young people to be aware of the different career choices available to them and to support them in decision-making. Changing Times follows two pupils as they select and start on their work experience placements, and shows the reactions of peers, teachers, parents and employers. This practical workshop will be facilitator led and demonstrate how effectively forum theatre methods can be used flexibly with students of different ages.
