Malcolm Scott and Ginny Pow are practising guidance PAs involved in an exciting new project being undertaken between Connexions in Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University to develop a narrative approach to careers guidance. The workshop will look at the practical application of narrative techniques and their delivery to clients in the workplace, with reference to the guidance interviews currently being undertaken.
Ginny Pow completed the DipCG and joined Kent Careers Service in 1980, Careers Enterprise in 1995 and Connexions in 2004. She has extensive experience of careers guidance and psychometric testing in schools and colleges, together with a lead role in higher education.
Malcolm Scott has travelled a similar path in Kent since 1984, as well as working as an NVQ and QCG assessor. Both Ginny and Malcolm became involved in this narrative project as it offered a chance to explore 'beyond the three-stage model'. |
