The workshop will include an overview of the Skills Coaching Trials from initial set up, through to expansion, and eventual wind down. It will look at the lessons learned from the trails particularly those that are applicable to the Adult Advancement and Careers Service and Skills Accounts. The workshop will conclude with consideration of the challenges that may be faced at all levels by those operating the new services. The workshop will be run by CFE, the organisation that programme managed the Skills Coaching Trials on behalf of LSC National Office.
Mark Ravenhall was an Associate Director at NIACE, leading NIACE's team of development officers in the English Regions and the European Initiatives programme. He has 20 years experience in education working in the private, public and voluntary sectors. He led NIACE's work on adult guidance and was a member of national IAG Review Working Group.
Mark Lambell has worked for CFE since 2005 having previously worked in the education sector. His work has included background research in the development of the Training Quality Standard, carrying out a review of brokerage services across England, and alongside the LSC, providing programme support to the Skills Coaching Trials. |
