New QCG/NVQ4 Advice and Guidance Mapping Document

 18th Dec 2006

This mapping document relates to the QCG Learning Outcomes in use from September 2006 and the Advice and Guidance S/NVQ level 4 introduced in August 2006 i.e. for students commencing QCG from September 2006 who will commence employment from June 2007 onwards.

If you are required to complete S/NVQ level 4 in Advice and Guidance (or units from it) following your QCG, the document will help you and your assessor to identify what underpinning knowledge and understanding you have from the QCG. The document should be used in conjunction with your QCG Portfolio so that evidence can be signed off. The Training Managers from the largest employers of guidance practitioners, including Connexions, Careers Wales, Careers Scotland and Careers Service Northern Ireland have all received a copy of this document via email.

The other versions that are available to download (right) are:

1. Pre 2006 S/NVQ level 4 in Advice and Guidance mapped to pre-2006 QCG Learning Outcomes i.e relevant to anyone completing QCG prior to June 2006 and already registered for the pre 2006 S/NVQ

2. 2006 S/NVQ level 4 in Advice and Guidance mapped to pre-2006 QCG Learning Outcomes i.e relevant to anyone completing QCG from June 2006
