The new NVQs in Advice and Guidance will be available shortly and in accordance with this the QCG/NVQ Mapping Document has been revised to include the new units and is available to download (right). This has been produced in collaboration with the 5 Awarding Bodies (City & Guilds, OCR, Edexcel, Open University and SQA).

If you are required to complete S/NVQ level 4 in Advice and Guidance (or units from it) following your QCG, the document will help you and your assessor to identify what underpinning knowledge and understanding you have from the QCG. The document should be used in conjunction with your QCG Portfolio so that evidence can be signed off. The Training Managers from the largest employers of guidance practitioners, including Connexions, Careers Wales, Careers Scotland and Careers Service Northern Ireland have all received a copy of this document via email. 

If you are required to complete units from the NVQ 4 LDSS, there is a similar document that will be available shortly. If you would like a copy of this as well, it will be available to download from the ICG website.
