In Belfast, Careers Service NI has recently introduced a guidance drop-in facility for all users in the Careers Resource Centre. We are an all age guidance service and have very strict guidelines dealing with young people and vulnerable adults. There is however a grey area about how exactly to deal with those adults (not falling within the legal vulnerable category) who may in the course of a guidance interview make reference to suicide or self-harm. Can anyone give advice or views on how to deal with this type of adult client so that we can remain safe practitioners? Many thanks

I would like so advice about choosing something 'visual'(DVD, video or printed material) that would support my job search workshops for disabled adults. Does anyone have any knowledge of the Jumpcut educational videos for example or simila? I have a limited budget and really need independent advice before I commit to purchase.
