'Responding to the Challenges of the Global Market; Ensuring Careers Education and Guidance is Relevant to the Demands of the Twenty First Century' was originally conceived by Michael J Hill to help advisers discussing educational progression with students in schools and colleges. |
 Michael Hill |
Hill considers there to be a lack of information or knowledge available that takes into account the major challenges that will affect young people in the new century. Further work needs to be done for careers guidance practitioners to respond sufficiently to technological developments to challenge and broaden young people's perceptions. |

The paper focuses on former gay male sex-workers in the South East of England, specifically collecting data about escorts, who provide high priced sexual services.
