Breakout sessions (12:20 and 14:10) Delegates experienced in HE Advice should choose two sessions from:
1. How can we improve the training of HE Advisers:
- Do QCGs and NVQs contain enough on HE Advice? What are the possible ways forward?
- What is already happening?
- Could we work with other organisations to offer training courses or do it ourselves?
- Do we need benchmarks?
- Should we create an accredited CPD course?
2. Sharing good practice:
FE, Schools, Adult and HE Advice sectors working together. With graduate employment being so important, how can Graduate Careers Services help those doing pre-application guidance? Virtual opportunities through the ICG website
3. Making the case for HE Advice:
- Who do we approach?
- What can we do by ourselves?
- What evidence exists to show that good guidance leads to better HE retention?
