Since then, I have been working in the Independent Sector teaching a careers programme from year ten upwards, assisting pupils with subject options, apprenticeship/college/university applications, post GCSE/A level employment, job applications (advertised and speculative) and obtaining and organising work experience placements.
As a Work Experience Manager, I constantly meet new people, visit companies and organisations that I approach about work placements, and I assist pupils with letters, cv's and interview skills in preparation for their placements and the world of work.
More recently, I have been working as a Regional Adviser for the Independent Schools Careers Organisation and as a Morrisby Practioner, I run psychometric testing sessions in schools and provide one-one interviews afterwards.
As a Programme Leader for the Inspiring Futures Foundation, I deliver Interactive Programmes (Pre Work Experience and Leadership Skills Days) in schools up and down the country in both the Independent and State Sector. Within this role, I also work in conjunction with a variety of professions to provide Career Insight and Skills Development days.
I am totally committed to working in Careers Education and Guidance and in addition, helping adults is also of great importance to me which I do locally with job applications, cv's and career changes as well as assisting employers with their recruitment processes. |
