London Connected is the ideal starting point for music businesses looking to develop their digital offering and increase digital music sales, and run by Association of Independent Music (AIM) with funding from the London Development Agency. A range of services are on offer on the newly launched website www.londonconnected.org, including digital health checks, specially designed digital courses, events and seminars.
All London Connected services are free and easy to sign up to and once registered, members will be notified via email of the range of workshops, training, and consultancy advice available.
Digital health checks are tailored to suit the needs of individual businesses and will include face-to-face meetings with one of a range of experts whose experiences include digital campaigns for Universal, Warner, EMI, Kudos Records, Ninja Tune, Skint Records and publishers and artists. Each digital health check is tailored to suit the needs of the individual business.
Registrants to London Connected are also able to access a range of free courses such as London Connected's 'Introduction to Digital' course, designed and delivered by some of the city's foremost experts in digital music. At the forefront is Music Ally, the UK's leading agency specializing in training in the digital music business. The content of the course includes strategy, practical demonstrations, competitor overviews and trend analysis.
Remi Harris AIM's General Manager said, "The constantly evolving digital music landscape can often seem tricky to negotiate for those looking to harness its numerous benefits. We've consulted with experts in digital music to design first-class help to the businesses and individuals involved in London's music industry to guide them through the wealth of opportunities that are available".
As part of the website launch London Connected has a limited number of copies of the recently acclaimed 'Meet The Millennials' report for registrants to download for free. The report, worth up to £140, draws inspiration from author Terry McBride's experiences with Nettwerk and gives clear, incisive advice from one of the industry's great innovators. |
