Andy Freeman, Chair of the ICG Adult Guidance Committee, represented the Institute at a recent 'expert' event organised by DIUS to consult on key design aspects of the new service which will be launched in 2010. Details are expected to be published shortly.

The workshop, involving participants with a broad knowledge and experience of careers development, focused on:
- developing a single, universal advancement and careers service;
- making effective use of the new technologies; and
- workforce development - the training system, qualifications framework and CPD arrangements for advisers.
