Parliamentary question considers careers education

Boris Johnson MP asks the government about post 16 careers education.

 

The following text is from the House of Commons record of written answers to parliamentary questions dated 19th June 2007:

 

Vocational Guidance

Mr. Boris Johnson: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills what plans he has to require all publicly-funded providers of post 16 learning, other than universities, to put in place a programme of careers education. [143121]

Mr. Dhanda: We have no plans to place a statutory duty on providers of post 16 learning to provide a programme of careers education.

 

Parmjit Dhanda MP is Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children, Young People and Families based at the DfES.

Boris Johnson MP is the Shadow Minister for Higher Education.
