The future of Careers Scotland

 11 Jan 2007

Ministers in Scotland have announced that the decision on the future position of Careers Scotland has been postponed until the summer of 2007. The Scottish Executive 'remains committed to transferring Careers Scotland out of Scottish Enterprise' and in January will begin a full options appraisal on the future of Careers Scotland involving all stakeholders.

The ICG has already contributed to the consultation but also expect to be involved in the options appraisal process. We will be expressing our concerns about the impact of proposed changes on the all age service delivered by Careers Scotland as well as any consequences for career guidance services in the Highlands and Islands area.
