ICG President Kieran Gordon meets with Baroness Morris of Bolton

On December 12th 2006 ICG President Kieran Gordon met with Baroness Morris of Bolton in the House of Lords to provide information on career guidance provision in relation to the Further Education and Training Bill which is currently passing through Parliament.

Baroness Morris is leading for the Conservatives on the Bill in the House of Lords. Following a wide ranging discussion, the Baroness agreed to raise the issue of career guidance if possible during the debate on the Bill.

On 13th December, in her opening speech the Baroness said 'Our system needs to be driven by the choices of the learners. We need a careers service that provides learners of all ages with the information they need to make the right choices' (Hansard 13th December Col 1546)
