On November 3rd 2006 , Communications Manager Simon Ashby will be leaving the Institute of Career Guidance after almost four years with ICG.
He leaves to take on a new role that would provide an interesting Case Study for all careers professionals as it sees him leave the Communications and PR sector, to begin work on two local estates as a community transformation officer, a role he currently does voluntarily. This role will see Simon work within his local area to try and meet the needs of people through a diverse range of new initiatives.
Since joining the ICG in 2003, Simon has been a valued member of the HQ team and has helped to move the Communications forward both to members and stakeholders.
Speaking about his departure Simon said: "It has been a really great 4 years with ICG and I would like to thank all the members who inundated me with the many thousands of emails during that time and made my job so enjoyable.
"I have valued my time here and made some close friends along the way, I wish the Institute and all the members the very best in the future."
ICG will appoint a new Communications Manager in November and they will take on the role of CGT Editor and ICG News via Email author among other things. |
