Freedom of Information Act

 28th Feb 2006

The Institute have requested that the Department for Education and Skills conduct an internal review into the decision not to release the recommendations made to Ministers during and at the conclusion of the End to End Review of Careers Education and Guidance.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, the Institute requested that following last year's End to End Review, all information supplied to assist the review and the information on the recommendations made to ministers be released into the public domain.

Last week, the DfES supplied the evidence which informed the review, but stated they would not release the information related to recommendations that had been made to ministers. ICG have requested this decision be reviewed.

On behalf of members, the Institute will continue to push for this information to be made public and will keep you informed of developments.
