Engineering Work Shadowing opportunity for ICG members

 2 Feb 2006

The ICG has been working with colleagues in AGCAS and the Engineering Training Board to establish better links between career guidance practitioners and major engineering employers.

As a pilot we are planning to organise a series of 10-15 work shadowing placements which will run in July with companies including Ford, BAe and Rolls Royce. The placements will last for a couple of days and participants will be expected to produce a report for circulation and participate in the evaluation process for the project which will hopefully be expanded in the future. The placements will be arranged as close to the base of participants as possible in order to minimise costs.

At this stage we are trying to assess the level of interest that there would be from members of the ICG to participate in the scheme which will offer a good professional development opportunity for career guidance practitioners.

If you wish to register your interest please e-mail
