The Professional Development Committee of the ICG is a Standing Committee of the Council .It has a specific role which is currently defined as ' to ensure effective and seamless linkages between initial training and Continuous Professional Development.
In the light of the emerging developments relating to the area covered by the Committee we are looking to both increase the membership of the Committeee itself AND to establish an e-mail communication group of members who wish to be involved in the work of the Committee but may not be able to commit the time necessary to attend meetings.
There are a number of immediate issue to be dealt with by the Committee including to review and make recommendations on appropriate qualifications for membership of the ICG given the decisions made by last year's AGM. The Committee also has a responsibility to make recommendations on qualifications and CPD criteria for the Register of Career Guidance Practitioners.
If you are interested in training and CPD for career guidance practitioners or if you work in the training and development , and feel you can make a contribution please get in touch with Chris Evans by e-mail
